Over the past week, the AFU violated the ceasefire 36 times, including with the application of prohibited weapons, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on January 17.
“The enemy fire 24 shells of 120mm and 82mm caliber, 99 grenades of various types, opened fire with anti-aircraft mounts, and also actively engaged small arms at the areas of 19 localities of the Republic.
We regret to inform you that a defender of our Republic was mortally wounded by the enemy fire. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased,” Eduard Basurin said.
The Colonel also added that all the information with photos and videos attached had been sent to representatives of international organizations based in the Republic and submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office for criminal proceedings to be initiated against war criminals Shapovalov, Kashchenko, Kokorev, Ivanov, Marchenko, Goncharuk, and Zubanich.
