Over the past 24 hours, the armed formations of Ukraine engaged the populated localities of the Republic two times, official representative of the DPR PMD Rinat Aigistov reported on January 20.
“On the Donetsk front, militants of the 56th and 28th brigades fired at Staromikhailovka and Vesyoloye with 120mm and 82mm mortars and IFV guns.
Information on the destruction of civilian infrastructure and casualties among civilians is being specified,” Rinat Aigistov said.
He also added that, despite the campaign promise of President Zelensky to establish peace in Donbass, the Ukrainian command in the Joint Forces Operation zone continues to aggravate the situation in certain sectors of the front.
“Thanks to the professional actions of the air defense units of the DPR People’s Militia, yesterday there was shot down a Mavik Pro UAV, which was used by militants of the 28th brigade to adjust mortar fire on Staromikhailovka. The aircraft having been destroyed, the shelling conducted by the armed formations was cut short,” Rinat Aigistov said.
