Deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergey Krivonos declared the readiness for a force option to gain control of Donbass, DPR People’s Council deputy Valery Skorokhodov expressed his opinion on this matter.

“The statement from one of the top Ukrainian officials responsible for the military sector about the readiness to solve the conflict in Donbass by force is an impudent and almost open attempt of Kiev to opt for thwarting the Minsk Agreements.

Krivonos has to realize that he disrespects not even the DPR and the LPR in this way, since we have got used to aggressive and hostile rhetoric of Kiev long time ago. That was a spit, first of all, at Ukraine’s allies represented by Germany and France, who volunteered to act as guarantors of the peaceful ways, not forceful, to resolve the situation.

At the same time, it is noteworthy that this insult dovetails with Kiev’s current military policy. The fact is that the armed formations of Ukraine do not stop, but greatly step up their attacks on our territory occasionally. For example, on the day of Baptism of Jesus, they fired 122 rounds on the territory of the Republic.

At that, I want to warn Krivonos and other exceedingly zealous Ukrainian figures that if the AFU dare to take this reckless step, they will get a very tough response from us. The DPR People’s Militia is always ready to meet the enemy and remind them of Ilovaysk, Debaltsevo and the Donetsk airport. Kiev has to understand that any attempt to attack the republics will result in more “heroic retreats” for them,” the MP noted.
