Representatives of the Ukrainian security forces continue to press for a forceful solution to the Donbass conflict. Sergey Prokin, the secretary of the Donetsk Republic Public Movement local brunch in Zugres, commented on these statements.

“After Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergey Krivonos had stated the need to implement the “Croatian scenario”, Defense Minister of Ukraine Andrei Zagorodniuk expressed his opinion on this issue.

In particular, he said that Ukraine is opposed to the forces disengagement along the entire contact line in Donbass. In his opinion, it may take years to carry out disengagement in the territory of 410 km, which will lead to the freezing of the conflict, and this is completely unacceptable for Ukraine.

In fairness, we must admit that our opinion on this issue indeed does not coincide with that of Kiev officials. As always, they are interpreting the Minsk Agreements in their own way and are not going to implement them. They still believe that the population of Donbass should free their territory and voluntarily surrender it to Ukraine’s jurisdiction.

However, all these statements completely fall into the context of the so-called plan for the deportation of the Republics’ population, which was outlined by the leadership of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine two months ago. This is another confirmation to the fact that the new team led by Zelensky has no intention to settle the conflict through diplomatic means and implement the Minsk Agreements,” Prokin said.
