In order to provide assistance to the citizens affected due to armed aggression on the part of Ukraine, social facilities (hostels, dispensaries, sanatoriums) are operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
In accordance with the Decree by the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic of 04.24.2018 No. 137, the accommodation of the affected citizens falls within the competence of the territorial commissions of cities and districts, the work of which is supervised by the Republican Commission for the Relocation of Affected Citizens, headed by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Currently, in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic there are 1,043 vacant places for accommodation of citizens belonging to this category.
64 social facilities are open in the territory of the Republic. Of these, 53 are functioning, 11 remain in reserve. 2,169 persons are living in social facilities of the Donetsk People’s Republic, including 403 children, and 4,400 persons are living in residential buildings, including 1,153 children.
As will be recalled, since the outbreak of hostilities in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 6,569 persons have been affected by the armed conflict, including 1,556 children.
