A new X-ray machine delivered as humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation was put into operation in the Central District Hospital of Novoazovsk in the south of the Republic today, on January 29. According to the correspondent of the DPR Official Website, DPR Healthcare Minister Olga Dolgoshapko visited the hospital on the occasion of this event.
“This is a unique event for the entire Novoazovsky district and its residents — a new UniCoRD-MT-Plus stationary X-ray diagnostic complex, which was delivered as a part of the humanitarian convoy from Russia on November 28 last year, has been put into service. This complex provides a unique opportunity to instantly obtain high-quality digital X-ray images, which, in turn, will help enable accurate diagnosis quickly and to the smallest detail.
We received two such devices. One of them is installed in the Kalinin Hospital in Donetsk, and the other one is here, since the Novoazovsk District Hospital provides medical treatment to many nearby villages and residents of neighbouring districts. In addition, the south of our state is in the combat zone and a large number of wounded are admitted here. Unfortunately, we cannot install such equipment in all hospitals at once, however, the work in this direction never stops, since the propriety of treatment depends on the accuracy of the diagnosis,” Olga Dolgoshapko emphasized.
It was also noted that the medical equipment is under warranty, and its installation and connection was performed by Russian engineers.
According to the Chief Physician of the Novoazovsk District Hospital, Alexander Marunchenko, this complex will greatly facilitate the work with patients and will enable quick and correct accurate diagnosis, since its capabilities are superior to old Soviet devices.
For his part, Head of the Novoazovsk District Council Oleg Morgun thanked the DPR Ministry of Health, as well as the Russian Federation and all concerned people involved in the formation and delivery of humanitarian aid, which is so much needed in the Republic.
In addition to that, new deliveries of medical equipment as part of humanitarian assistance from the Russian Federation are expected to take place this year.
