Today, on January 31, at the premises of the Republic Educational Psychological Service’s Donetsk Training Center, the DPR State Service for Family and Children Affairs conducted a training for people wishing to adopt an orphan or a child deprived of parental care. 17 attendees took part in the training, the press service of the organization reports.

“Thanks to the joint fruitful work done by the Service and the DPR Ministry of Education and Science on the arrangement and conduct of this training, as well as the high professional competence of the Center’s specialists in the quality training of attendees, the Republic ensures that orphans and children deprived of parental care are brought up in family-based forms of care,” Director of the Service Svetlana Mayboroda informed.

As part of the training, prospective adopters, potential foster parents, caregivers are counseled on how to adapt a child to the new family, his/her education and upbringing, as well as on how to build a harmonious relationship with the child. The training exercises were conducted in the form of interactive masterclasses and tutorials.

32 groups totaling 529 people who wish to adopt an orphan or a child deprived of parental care have attended such trainings in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The work is ongoing.
