The armed formations of Ukraine engaged fire at populated localities of the Republic seven times over the past 24 hours, official representative of the DPR PMD Oleg Nikitin reported on February 4.
“On the Gorlovka front, militants of the 59th and 58th brigades fired at Golmovskoye and Shirokaya Balka with grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.
On the Donetsk front, militants of the 28th and 56th brigades engaged 82mm mortars, IFV cannons, grenade launchers of various types, heavy machine guns and small arms at Staromikhailovka, Spartak, Zhabichevo and the Donetsk Airport. As a result of the shelling of Staromikhailovka, two residential buildings at 44 and 55 Shevchenko Street sustained damage,” Oleg Nikitin said.
He also pointed out that militants of the 28th brigade launched fire with anti-tank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms at the Trudovskaya mine’s village in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk since the turn of the day. As a result of the shelling, five residential buildings were damaged at 36, 40, 97, 103 Zeleny Gai Street and 149 Shestakova Street.
“Further information on the damage caused to civilian infrastructure and casualties among civilians is being specified.
All the evidence of the localities’ having been shelled have been provided to representatives of international human rights organizations based in the Republic, along with the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office for criminal proceedings to be initiated against AFU brigade commanders — Marchenko, Zubanich and Ivanov,” Oleg Nikitin said.
