The enemy perseveres in its attempts to destabilize the situation at the line of contact and is stepping up provocative attacks on the territory of our Republic for that purpose, the DPR PMD’s press service reports.
“Today at 07:20 Ukrainian militants from the 28th brigade armed with mortars, IFV, SPG, as well as large-caliber machine guns and small arms engaged residential buildings in Donetsk and the village of Staromikhaylovka. Civilians were forced to take cover in the basements of their houses.
The shelling resulted in damage to three residential buildings in Donetsk at 12, 14 and 21 Markina St., three houses and power lines in Staromikhaylovka at 32 Chkalova St., 11 Gagarina St., 41 Schorsa St. Two mortar shells exploded in the premises of the operating school at 78 Chapayeva St., an air shaft of Chelyuskintsev Mine is damaged as well.
Additional information on the scale of destruction of the civil infrastructure and civilian casualties is clarified.
These ceasefire violations were also reported by DPR representatives to the JCCC.
Materials on the shelling will be send to representatives of international organizations stationed in the Republic, as well as to the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office for adduction to the criminal cases against AFU brigade commander Marchenko.
We call on OSCE international monitors to focus on the aggression of the armed formations of Ukraine against the Donetsk People’s Republic and to make the Ukrainian leadership in the person of Zelensky fulfill the agreements in order to prevent another bloodshed in the long-suffering land of Donbass,” the statement reads.
