On Tuesday of February 25, Donetsk hosted the signing of an agreement on partnership in employment of graduates of vocational education institutions between the Social Partnership Councils affiliated with the Ministries of Education and Science of the DPR and the LPR. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, the signatories were the Chairs of the DPR and LPR Councils, First Vice-Rector of Donetsk National University of Economics and Trade Lidiya Omelyanovich and the Vice-Rector for Research and Education, Director of the Research Guidance Center for Youth Labor Socialization Yuri Filippov.
DPR Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov, LPR Deputy Minister of Education and Science Olga Zhdanova, DPR First Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Tourism Victor Orekhov, Head of the DPR Trade Union Organization of Educators Asya Gorshkova, Director of the Russian Center Elena Yevseyeva also attended the signing.
Thus, LPR Deputy Minister of Education and Science Olga Zhdanova highlighted the importance of signing the agreement for further cooperation between the Republics.
“The main goals and objectives of this agreement involve training highly qualified personnel, improving the educational process of training specialists to ensure that the level of knowledge of graduates meets the requirements that currently exist in the labor market. The agreement also provides the opportunity to consolidate the training process, establish a dialogue and create a mechanism for interaction between education establishments, employers and the development of sector-specific areas of economy,” Olga Zhdanova said.
She also noted that the agreement would allow not only to establish cooperation, but also would open more opportunities for graduates of both Republics to unlock their potential in the labor markets of the DPR and the LPR.
“Last year, as part of the International Investment Forum, the Ministries of Education and Science of the DPR and the LPR signed an agreement on cooperation, it became the basis for inter-university cooperation. The Republics are actively being developed, the interaction between the DPR and the LPR is ongoing and the range of issues raised is expanding. In particular, today we signed an agreement on social partnership. It is very important to make sure that graduates from education establishments of the Republics get a decent education and are in demand in the labor market,” DPR Minister of Education and Science Mikhail Kushakov said.
