The armed formations of Ukraine persevere in their attempts to destabilize the situation at the line of contact.
Thus, our intelligence obtained timely information that the enemy is planning a bloody provocation to accuse the people’s republics of violating the ceasefire.
According to our data, the commanders of the 28th, 72nd, 93rd separate mechanized brigades and 59th separate motorized infantry brigade have been instructed by the joint forces operation’s staff to prepare mortar and artillery crews for launching attacks on DPR populated localities Dolomitnoye, Staromikhaylovka, Nizhneye Lozovoye, and LPR localities Golubovskoye, Smeloye and Frunze.
The objective of these mortar and artillery strikes is to provoke return fire from our defenders, which is supposed to be recorded by journalists from the Ukrainian TV channels Channel 5, ICTV, Ukraine, who arrived at the locations of those brigades together with officers from the press service of the joint forces operation’s staff.
We do not rule out that the Ukrainian brigade commanders might also try to write off this provocation as non-combat losses among the subordinate fighters, which they conceal from the superior command.
We call on the OSCE to enhance monitoring in those Ukraine-controlled areas to prevent the provocation.
