The joint forces operation’s command conceals from OSCE monitors the presence of prohibited weapons at the contact line, as well as near civilian facilities. Deputy Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported the details at the briefing in Donetsk on March 6.

Intelligence confirms that AFU units deploy their weapons and military equipment near residential buildings and municipal facilities in the territory they control:

28th separate mechanized brigade deployed an anti-tank guided system and three armored combat vehicles in Maryinka, a BMP-1 in Novoselovka, three BMPs in Krasnogorovka;

10th separate mountain assault brigade deployed six 135mm self-propelled anti-tank missile systems Konkurs, a T-72 tank, thirteen BMP-1s in Mariupol, two 122mm self-propelled howitzers 2S1 Gvozdika in Yuryevka, three MTLBs in Chernenko;

92nd brigade deployed a BRDM-2 in Krasnogorovka;

57th brigade deployed a BRDM-2 in Bogdanovka, four BMP-1s and two BRDM-2s in Nevelsky;

128th brigade deployed a BMP-1 in Taramchuk, nine infantry fighting vehicles and an armored personnel carrier in Beryozovoye.

The presence of banned weapons and military equipment of the AFU in residential areas is also reported by the OSCE SMM.

“We call on the residents of the Ukraine-occupied territories to take action to prevent the AFU from deploying their weapons and military equipment proximate to residential buildings and civil infrastructure, report to representative offices of international organizations such as the UN and the OSCE about the cases of violation of rights and freedoms, as well as about the presence of AFU equipment near your houses,” Colonel Basurin stated.
