The Interdepartmental Operational Headquarters for preventing the infiltration and spread of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 has called on DPR citizens staying in Ukraine to return home as soon as possible. Also, the HQ informs that as of March 17, 2020, no cases of this coronavirus infection have been registered in the Republic.
“Due to the escalating epidemiological situation in Ukraine and the probable surge in cases of COVID-19 infection, civilian traffic across the border and customs checkpoints of the Donetsk People’s Republic might be suspended completely,” the Operational HQ stated.
“We recommend that residents of the Donetsk People’s Republic discontinue their further stay in Ukraine. Citizens having a permanent residence permit in the Republic, who are currently staying in the territory controlled by the Kiev authorities, are urged to return home as soon as possible.
We remind you that the Donetsk People’s Republic has declared a high alert regime, according to which citizens who have arrived from states that are experiencing an unfavorable situation due to the expansion of the new coronavirus infection, including Ukraine, the People’s Republic of China, the Kingdom of Spain, the Italian Republic, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Korea, the French Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, have to be self-isolated at home for 14 days from the date of arrival.
