The DPR Representative Office to the JCCC informed the Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector that an agreement on ensuring security and safety of the staff at the Donetsk Filter Station has been reached. Therefore, the station’s restart is scheduled for tomorrow, Deputy Minister for Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector of the DPR Vladimir Dubovka announced on March 27.
“Following the talks with Ukraine, we have managed to address the issues of ensuring security and safety of the DFS staff. Pre-commissioning activities to launch the DFS are scheduled for this coming Saturday, March 28. In this case, by the morning of March 29, the station should be operating as per normal,” Vladimir Dubovka informs.
Recall that the Donetsk Filter Station was shut down on March 25 due to the lack of security and safety guarantees for its personnel. Every shutdown at the DFS entails unscheduled work on disinfection, washing, as well as unscheduled relaunch of equipment, which might affect its operation. Since the outbreak of hostilities in Donbass, the station has stopped its work more than 40 times because of the hostilities and safety concerns for its personnel.
