Representatives of the Ukrainian leadership are making statements that flagrantly contradict the reality. What is particularly bewildering is that the French and German authorities have also joined those statements, DPR Minister of Foreign Affairs Natalya Nikonorova stated.

“Over the past few days, we have heard many accusations against the Republics that we are allegedly not fulfilling our obligations under the agreements reached. However, the Ukrainian party has not provided any, at least partially true argument that could prove this thesis. Unlike Kiev, we have a number of reasons to argue that it is Ukraine, not the republic, who is sabotaging not only fulfilment of the basic documents of the Minsk package, but even those agreements that were validated personally by the head of the Ukrainian delegation in Minsk and the head of Ukraine’s presidential office.

As a confirmation, we are publishing the minutes of the Contact Group’s meeting as of March 26, which clearly states that Ukraine rejected almost all the decisions that we and the mediators for the negotiation process proposed.

Once again, we call on Kiev not to waste time and effort on fakes and slander against the republics, but immediately start to fulfil your obligations under the agreements reached, which, moreover, were personally signed by the representatives of Ukraine. Therefore, attempts to refuse them or reinterpret their wording will only further aggravate the Ukrainian government’s standing, which is already extremely unfavorable as it is. Also, we call on the representatives of France and Germany to study information about the situation in the Minsk process more carefully in order not to get taken in and not to support Ukraine’s statements that virtually have no credibility or objectivity,” Natalya Nikonorova stated.
