Over the weekend, on April 11 and April 12, a charitable event dedicated to the struggle against the coronavirus infection was held by active citizens of Dokuchayevsk represented by Head of the Young Republic PO Vadim Minchenko with the assistance of People’s Council Klavdiya Kulbatskaya deputy, as well as with the support of senior volunteer of the DPR People’s Patrol the Ruslan Ganiyev, and entrepreneurs.
Young activists of the city collected money from their personal budget and purchased personal protective gear, which was distributed free of charge in the territory adjacent to the Dokuchayevsk market to all needy residents for two days. In total, activists distributed more than 400 masks to everyone who could not afford or was unable to purchase them on their own for other reasons.
“As an active resident of our city, I can see the problems that concern our citizens at the moment. Many retirees and young people have no opportunity to independently purchase means of protection, therefore, my friends and I we decided to help our people,” Vadim Minchenko said.
In turn, Klavdiya Kulbatskaya noted that in this way the Dokuchayevsk youth had again demonstrated their active citizenship.
“I hope that by their action the young people motivated many for a worthy cause in the times complicated for all mankind. The authorities, for their part, are ready to provide every possible support to the active and initiative youth of the Republic,” Klavdiya Kulbatskaya said.
