In an interview with a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, Medical Director of Rudnichnaya Clinical Hospital of Makeyevka Anna Rudnichenko told about the state of health of a patient with coronavirus, who is being treated in an ICU of this medical institution.
Anna Rudnichenko explained that in accordance with the Decree 57 of Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin as of March 17, this Clinical Hospital is defined as a hospital facility for providing medical aid to patients with coronavirus or suspected of this infection.
“These are patients who need artificial lung ventilation. We now have a patient in an ICU who needed this type of medical aid. Her condition is stable and she already can do without oxygen support for the respiratory system most of the time,” the medical director explained.
She also answered the question related to the diagnosis of the coronavirus infection.
“Testing for coronavirus in the Republic is carried out centrally, at the State Inspectorate for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, in the laboratory of particularly dangerous infections. All patients with suspected coronavirus infection are under our observation. So far, we have one confirmed case, the person is getting treatment. All the activities are aimed at saving the health of residents of Makeyevka and all the Republic. The DPR Ministry of Health and the Government address all issues on an on-going basis,” the medical director stressed.
