During the meeting with the mayors of cities, towns and districts, which was held on April 16 via videoconference, Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin proposed extending the heating season in the Republic until April 22 inclusive, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reports.

“Given the low temperature at night, as well as taking into account a large number of people who have to stay home self-isolating, I would like to hear your opinions on the advisability of extending the heating season,” Denis Pushilin said.

Minister of Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector Sergei Naumets, Mayor of Khartsyzsk Victoria Zhukova, Mayor of Donetsk Alexey Kulemzin and Head of the Novoazovsky District’s Administration Oleg Morgun made related reports on the issue. Given all the circumstances, they unanimously supported the proposal.

“Dear colleagues! We are all fighting the coronavirus infection, but respiratory and other illnesses from the lack of heating and proper temperature in houses and apartments are obvious. Therefore, I instruct the mayors of cities, towns and districts of the Donetsk People’s Republic to draw up orders to extend the heating season until April 22, 2020 inclusive,” Denis Pushilin summed up.
