Ukrainian officials, despite their high offices and ranks, continue to make every effort to show both themselves and the entire Ukrainian state at an utmost disadvantage. Otherwise, it is impossible to explain why Ukrainian officials are so proud to announce on mass media that they are refusing a direct dialogue with Donbass representatives and are going to do so further on, DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova stated.

“One of such statements alone clearly proves that Ukraine violates the Complex of Measures, which expressly states that Kiev and Donbass, the parties to the conflict, have to negotiate with each other by dint of direct and meaningful dialogue at the Minsk venue.

But Ukraine and its dashing diplomats are going beyond their bragging about how recklessly they violate international regulatory acts and run counter to the documents approved by the UN Security Council. Even people in very high diplomatic offices claim that Kiev carries out so-called “feeler attacks” during Contact Group meetings.

Thus, the Ukrainian authorities not only misunderstand the meaning of peace talks, which are rather designed for negotiating the conflict resolution than fighting. They also cynically refer to their barbaric attacks on our territory, during which innocent people die, adults and children are hurt and suffer serious injuries. Such actions on the part of the current Ukrainian leadership lead to a disappointing conclusion: they not only ideologically glorify Bandera and other Nazi henchmen in Kiev now, but also adopt their monstrous bloody methods to put into practice.

We once again remind Ukraine that the real situation is as follows: back in 2014, Donbass decisively made it plain that if the voice of our people was not heard, it means that we would never live in the same state with such a government. Kiev must realize, the sooner the better, that it will not be possible to reckon with Donbass, which means that the Ukrainian authorities have only two options: either to negotiate directly, openly and in good faith with the Republics within the Minsk format, or officially recognize the impossibility to fulfill their obligations under the Minsk Agreements and respectively be liable to the guarantor countries and the entire world community for that,” Natalya Nikonorova said.
