Today, on May 22, a new longwork has opened up at the Gornyak-95 private mine in Makeyevka. Four longwall faces will work simultaneously for the first time in the history of the mine. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, the event was attended by DPR Head Denis Pushilin.

“Today’s event is important not only for the enterprise, but also for the whole Republic, especially in this difficult period. I would like to highlight the effective cooperation between the state and business. We know that this mine is privately-held. Literally two years ago it was not in the most favorable condition. But an investment program was adopted, tax privileges were granted and finally we see that the synergy between the state and business has yielded a certain positive result. This is a pilot project and I think we will continue moving in this direction. I once again express my gratitude to the staff and the management of the enterprise and congratulations on this remarkable occasion!” Denis Pushilin said.

DPR Deputy Minister of Coal and Energy Anatoly Nesterenko also offered his congratulations to the miners. “The DPR Ministry of Coal and Energy cordially congratulates all of you on your another victory! The fact that the mining plan is being carried out ahead of schedule shows that we chose the right path,” he said.

By order of the DPR Minister of Coal and Energy, the most distinguished workers of the mine were awarded Miner’s Valor and Miner’s Glory decorations of different classes.

“You have made an important contribution to the development of the DPR economy. Thank you very much!” DPR Minister of Revenue and Duties Evgeny Lavrenov joined the congratulations.

The chief of the tax authority also added that in pursuance of the order of DPR Head Denis Pushilin, the Government had drawn up an action plan to bring coal industry enterprises to the level of profitability.

According to the mine’s management, the reserves of the new longwall face are estimated at 210 thousand tons. The seam depth is 500 meters, it is planned to mine 149 tons of coking coal per day.
