Today, on May 26, the frontline Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk paid homage to the victims of the undeclared war that Ukraine unleashed against civilians of the Donetsk People’s Republic in 2014. According to a correspondent of the DPR Official Website, in tribute to the memory of the victims they laid flowers at the memorial in the village of Oktyabrsky Rudnik Mine, at the memorial sign to the defenders of the airport near the Putilovsky bridge, as well as at the places of death of ordinary citizens.

“We remember all innocent citizens who died in the Kuibyshev district, all over Donetsk, and the whole People’s Republic. We remember all those who rallied to defense, who were at the airport, who laid down their lives in our undeclared war,” said Mayor of Gorlovka Ivan Prikhodko.

Prikhodko headed the administrations of the Kuibyshevsky and Kievsky districts of the DPR capital from 2014 to 2015 in the most difficult period of hostilities. These districts were most frequently shelled by Ukrainian armed groups.
