The DPR Government has issued Decree 26-9 of June 5, 2020, approving the procedure of compensatory payments to medical workers and other employees of State and municipal healthcare institutions for the period of their work on addressing COVID-19 outbreak.

The purpose of the law is to monetarily support personnel of State and municipal healthcare institutions being at risk of COVID-19 infection, and to maintain the quality of diagnosis and medical care of citizens who have been diagnosed with COVID-19

The procedure defines the sequence of arrangement and payment of compensation for special working conditions and additional workload to medical workers and other employees of State and municipal healthcare institutions engaged in diagnosis and medical care of citizens who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, as well as to those engaged in post-mortem examination of bodies with confirmed COVID-19.

Compensations are paid monthly in the execution of orders given by State and municipal healthcare institutions, and range from 20 percent to 100 of the average salary per staff member, depending on staff categories.
