Denis Pushilin claims it is significant that DPR citizens vote on amendments to the Russian Constitution

The question of everyone’s interest about the Donetsk People’s Republic joining the Russian Federation was also raised during the live call-in show with Denis Pushilin.

In particular, the DPR Head recalled those aspects that already prove that the Donetsk People’s Republic belongs with the Russian Federation.

“Donbass has always been Russian. We are Russians. And now, answering the question of when we will join Russian Federation, we can say that we have already become an integral part of Russia,” the DPR Head said.

Denis Pushilin reminded that the Russian ruble is the official currency in the DPR, schools teach in Russian, higher education establishments of the Republic are accredited in the Russian Federation. Denis Pushilin separately highlighted that it is important that DPR residents acquire Russian passports.

“It is very significant that all those who have acquired Russian passports vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. I had the opportunity to officially ask the Central Electoral Commission, received an official answer how our citizens can participate in this voting,” Denis Pushilin stated.
