On the night of June 27, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Donetsk People’s Republic had to urgently pitch tents for DPR citizens who stayed almost two days in the gray zone through the fault of Ukraine.
To solve this problem, DPR authorities tried to contact the Ukrainian side through international organizations, but received such a reply: “If they approach our border, we will shoot to kill.”
With the cooperation of the UN, it was decided to send a bus of the DPR Ministry of Emergency Situations to the gray zone to evacuate the citizens.
The exhausted people, who had been under the scorching sun without water or food for a long time, literally slept on the asphalt near the Ukrainian checkpoint by the time the rescue bus arrived.
Recall that according to reports on the spread of the new type of coronavirus, the number of people infected increases every day in Ukraine. Thus, 1,109 cases were registered in a 24-hour period on June 26, 2020.
In view of the situation, the authorities are taking the necessary measures to help the people, who have ended up in the difficult situation.
