Глава ДНР Денис Пушилин прокомментировал 5-летнюю годовщину Русской весны в Донбассе, а также ответил на вопросы одноименного информационного портала «Русская весна».

«В 2014 году включиться в борьбу с преступным киевским режимом было принципиальным жизненным выбором. А если бы была возможность вернуться в то время — я бы постарался максимально использовать весь сегодняшний наработанный и политический, и административный, и просто жизненный опыт. Чтобы было меньше крови и потерь для нашего населения.

Республика ведь рождалась в муках. Но так бывает при любой революционной ситуации, когда в движение приходят народные массы. В Донбассе так и было, и я хорошо помню ошеломляющие эмоции и груз ответственности пять лет назад, когда мы поняли, что судьба нашей земли реально зависит от нас.

Спустя 5 лет есть веские поводы и для горечи, и для гордости. Разочарование и огромная боль — потому что до сих пор с украинской стороны прилетают мины и снаряды, от которых гибнут жители Республики и бойцы. Потому что часть бывшей Донецкой области оккупирована Украиной.

Еще потому, что крайне сложно быстро поднять уровень жизни людей, полноценно запустив экономику. Главный вопрос — кто будет принимать продукцию, произведенную на непризнанной территории?

Да, было бы красивее и легче, если бы нас моментально признала Россия и ВСУ были бы победоносно выброшены с нашей земли. По разным причинам это не произошло.

Напомню, что Референдум о независимости ДНР мы провели фактически вопреки советам России. Это была воля народа. И именно этот народ Донбасса вот уже 5 лет живет, воюет и не прогибается. При этом обид на Россию нет, все мы знаем, какая неоценимая политическая и гуманитарная помощь нам была оказана и продолжает оказываться.

Сегодня Республика — это политическая и объективная реальность. Паспорта ДНР котируются в России. Наши Вооруженные Силы несут очень тяжелую службу. Экономика восстанавливается, пусть и не так быстро, как хотелось бы. Не хочу попусту обнадеживать наших уставших от ожидания кардинальных перемен граждан, но эти перемены уже готовятся.

ДНР — есть, и это огромный повод для гордости. А все заслуги принадлежат нашему независимому, мужественному, героическому народу, а также добровольцам из России и других стран. Донбасс — регион с характером. Здесь очень непросто, но разочароваться — это не о нас.

Ради этого стоит жить», — сказал Денис Пушилин.

So it was in Donbass, and I remember perfectly well the stunning emotions and the burden of responsibility five years ago, when we realized that the fate of our land really rested with us.

5 years later, we have got valid reasons to grieve and to be proud of. There are disappointment and tremendous pain, because shells and missiles still come from the Ukrainian side, which kill the residents of the Republic and soldiers. Because a part of the former Donetsk region is occupied by Ukraine.

Another reason is that it is extremely difficult to raise the standard of living of people quickly by get the economy going in full. The main question is who will take the products made in an unrecognized territory?

Yes, it would have been finer and easier if Russia had instantly recognized us and the AFU had been victoriously driven out of our land. For various reasons, this did not happen.

Let me remind you that we held the referendum on the independence of the DPR, in fact, contrary to the advice of Russia. It was the will of the people. And it is this people of Donbass who has been living for 5 years, fighting and not bending. At the same time, we have no claims against Russia, we all are aware of the priceless political and humanitarian assistance that has been rendered to us and is being rendered.

Today the Republic is a political and objective reality. DPR passports are recognized in Russia. Our Armed Forces are in the hard service. The economy is recovering, albeit not as quickly as we wish. I do not want to waste the hope of our citizens who are tired of waiting for seismic changes, but these changes are being prepared right now.

The DPR does exist, and this is a huge reason to be proud of. And all the merits belong to our independent, courageous, heroic people, as well as to volunteers from Russia and other countries. Donbass is a strong-willed region. It is really tough here, but giving up is not about us.

This makes life worth living,” Denis Pushilin said.
