21 марта Военно-исторический музей Великой Отечественной войны (отдел Донецкого республиканского краеведческого музея) с дружественным визитом посетила делегация общественной организации «Воины Чехословакии в борьбе за мир». Об этом сообщает пресс-служба музея.

«Наша организация объединяет бывших военнослужащих стран социалистического содружества. Мы приехали поддержать народ Донбасса в его историческом выборе и донести правду о происходящих здесь событиях жителям Европы», – сказал представитель чешской делегации, подполковник в отставке Иван Кратохвил.

В ходе своего визита зарубежные гости передали Военно-историческому музею Великой Отечественной войны медаль «Верными останемся», которой был посмертно награжден защитник Донецкой Народной Республики с позывным «Чех», погибший летом 2014 г. в районе высоты Саур-Могила.

Для представителей делегации научными сотрудниками музея были проведены экскурсии по экспозиции «Донбасс в годы Великой Отечественной войны 1941-1945 гг.» и выставкам «Цена награды» и «Во славу русской доблести».

В память о пребывании на земле Донбасса гостям были вручены памятные подарки – издания Донецкого республиканского краеведческого музея.

On March 21st, a delegation of the Czechoslovakia Warriors Fighting for Peace NGO visited the Military Historical Museum of the Great Patriotic War (a branch of the Donetsk Republic Local History Museum). The press service of the museum reports.

“Our organization unites ex-military of the countries of the socialist community. We came to support the people of Donbass in their historical choice and bring the truth about the events happening here to the residents of Europe,” representative of the Czech delegation, retired lieutenant colonel Ivan Kratochvil said.

During their visit, the foreign guests gave the Military Historical Museum of the Great Patriotic War a medal called “We Stay Loyal”, which was posthumously awarded to the defender of the Donetsk People’s Republic, whose nom-de-guerre was “Czech”, who died in the summer of 2014 near the Saur-Mogila hill.

For the representatives of the delegation, the museum staff conducted tours of the “Donbass in the Years 1941-1945 of the Great Patriotic War” exhibition, as well as exhibitions called “The Price of the Award” and “To the Glory of Russian Valor”.

To honor the memory of their stay in the land of Donbass, the guests were presented with memorable gifts: works of the Donetsk Republic Local History Museum.
