During the meeting of the Contact Group on issues relating to security, the members agreed on a date to begin the withdrawal of forces and armaments in the third pilot section in the Petrovskoye area; the DPR MFA reports.

“Back on October 1st, the republics announced their readiness, starting October 7th, to implement the roadmap agreed upon by the Contact Group and had been waiting for actions from the Ukrainian side.

Today we have managed to convince the Ukrainian side to begin fulfilling its obligations to eliminate violations: the process in Zolotoye has started; as for Petrovskoye, we have agreed on a fixed date for the beginning of the disengagement in accordance with the implementation roadmap,” Plenipotentiary Representative Natalya Nikonorova told.

She also expressed concern over the increasing ceasefire violations by the AFU and the tragic consequences of such violations for the civilian population and infrastructure.

“It is necessary to get on with the strict fulfilment of the agreed additional measures for enhancement and control of ceasefire, in particular, to conduct investigations and impose appropriate sanctions against those responsible,” the chief of the foreign-policy establishment emphasized.
