“When reading such plans for the deportation of the people of Donbass and certain re-Ukrainianization, I would like to say to their authors: “No, you will not succeed,” Vladislav Berdichevsky, deputy of the DPR People’s Council, said.

“That is because Donbass is a part of the Russian World, which is multinational and in which each people has a worthy place. Without humiliating rules and conditions, without prohibitions and repressions, without torchlight processions with portraits of criminals and vandalizing monuments to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

It is deplorable that the authorities of Ukraine still cannot understand that Donbass hasn’t been occupied. It is us, its residents, regardless of nationality, the owners of our land, and not those immigrants from west or central Ukraine who came here to “win Donbass back.”

And the point is not about the alleged absence of Ukrainian media on our TV and the influence of Russian propaganda. Modern technologies enable to get access to any information resources upon request. The point is the choice Donbass made five years ago. Kiev, led by Zelensky, can daily compose and affirm even a dozen of such plans as they need to carry the appearance of frenzied activity. But we will prevent any of them from being implemented. The Minsk Agreements carry the only plan to resolve the conflict, and we urge Ukraine to follow it,” Vladislav Berdichevsky said.
