Today, on December 10, in Donetsk there was held a round-table discussion dedicated to summing up the results and making further prospects for the development of integration processes between Donbass and Russia. According to the correspondent of the official website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the main results of the meeting were summarized up by Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin.

“I can see the constructive nature of the round table. During the meeting it became possible to have all the comments, at least most of them, be stated in the resolution adopted and supported following the results of the round table.

This, of course, there is a number of points regarding economic cooperation with the Russian Federation. We really have things to work on, we really had something to offer and show where certain procedures could be simplified. There were also discussed some concerns, controversial issues in terms of migration policy.

This, of course, is an important factor in legislative cooperation between the Republics and Russia. And in this regard we asked our colleagues to lobby for the creation of an inter-factional group of the State Duma, which would directly monitor and analyze the legislative base in the Republics with a view to improve it, to eliminate any inaccuracies or contradictions. And along with that, this group would enable us to talk about the observance of human rights, for example, of Russian citizens in the territory of the Republics and vice versa.

In general, there were things to talk about, there were things to discuss, and I’m delighted that we have achieved a particular result. Now we need this to be transformed into concrete actions that will affect the life of the Republic’s citizens,” Denis Pushilin said.
