DPR Minister for Economic Development Aleksey Polovyan commented on the event.

“Today we have had the second meeting devoted to the development programs of towns of the Republic for the next year. The towns announced the activities they would like to implement in 2020. We mainly focus on public utilities, road mending and everything that belongs to the critical infrastructure of a town. But we do not bypass the matters related to the development of economy, industry, restoration of enterprises and launch of new small and medium-sized businesses,” Aleksey Polovyan noted.

Mayor of Snezhnoye Alexander Skvortsov focused on the main vectors of his town’s development.

“Our priority is to restore the economic potential of the town, large industrial enterprises, on which the living standards of people and their comfortable living arrangements depend. And of course, the works on improving the town’s amenities is really important, a huge amount of road mending is needed. A great problem is waste disposal, we will be working to stabilize the situation. We will focus on the work on improving the water supply in Snezhnoye. Our task is to build a new water main, which will ensure a stable water supply to three urban-type villages. We will have this problem solved in 2020,” mayor of Snezhnoye Alexander Skvortsov said.

In turn, mayor of Zhdanovka Sergey Litvinov shared his plans for 2020.

“We have outlined the town’s development plans, and there are many of them. There are houses destroyed during hostilities, which must be reconstructed. It is necessary to improve the infrastructure and amenities in the town. We are planning to restore the housing stock, repair roads more qualitatively and to a greater extent. We will work to improve the quality of education and health care,” Sergey Litvinov informed.
