On December 12, the capital of the Republic hosted a meeting of the working group on the implementation of decisions taken during the Donetsk International Investment Forum named “Donbass, the Experience of Extreme Economy”, which took place on October 29 and 30, 2019. According to a correspondent of the Official Website of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the working group listened to reports on the results of the Donetsk International Investment Forum, as well as proposals, ideas and concepts announced at the forum.
“We are facing a colossal task of multifaceted and multidimensional nature, whose purpose is to learn lessons from the Donetsk International Investment Forum and implement them in such a way that both our residents and our potential investors, whom we will have, would see that, because the best investor is our own population. Our task is to do everything possible to make this investor believe us. We need to make not only a theoretical proposal for the Head of the Republic, but also practical things that would be implemented immediately,” advisor to the DPR Head Viktor Kolesnik encouraged those present.
The main reports on the results of the Donetsk International Forum, as well as on the proposals and concepts announced there, were made by Deputy of the DPR People’s Council Vladimir Pakreyev and Rector of Donetsk National Technical University Alexander Anopriyenko. Also, during the meeting of the working group, DPR Minister of Economic Development of \ Alexey Polovyan, Minister of Industry and Trade Eduard Armatov, Minister of Agro-Industrial Policy and Food Artyom Kramarenko, director of Donfrost OOO Konstantin Klimov and director of the Center for Economic Cooperation of the Republics OOO Viktoria Romanyuk provided their points of view.
In the near future, the working group will continue discussing the results of the Donetsk International Investment Forum and will discuss proposals for the formation of the DPR’s investment policy.
“I believe that today’s meeting has been rather productive. It could have been theoretical in nature, but it turned into practical discussion, we uncovered the problems and suggested solutions to them,” moderator for the Forum and Rector of Donetsk Academy of Management and Civil Service under the auspices of the DPR Head Larisa Kostrovets summed up the meeting.
“The most important thing is that today we have seen a certain strategy of our actions, according to which a memorandum on investments will be signed in the future and certain activities will be carried out. Such changes will definitely encourage the investors,” director of Donfrost OOO Konstantin Klimov noted.
