The statement from representatives of the Ukrainian foreign-policy establishment about “peace enforcement” by deploying a peacekeeping mission is actually a call for military assault on Donbass through the medium of Western countries, DPR Foreign Affairs Minister Natalya Nikonorova stated.
“If the Ukrainian leadership plans not only to declare in such an aggressive manner the possibility of military intervention, but also to try to implement it in practice, we are ready to respond to this. But in this case we warn that new encirclements are likely to be the last for Ukraine.
We emphasize once again that if Kiev wants to resolve the conflict in Donbass peacefully, the Ukrainian government need to fulfill their obligations under the Complex of Measures strictly.
We also recommend against the Ukrainian government choosing a war scenario, since that will hold Ukraine liable for thwarting the Minsk Agreements with all the consequences that come with it in the form of sanctions and other measures from the guarantor countries and the UN,” Natalya Nikonorova said.
