Over the past week, the AFU violated the ceasefire 11 times, including with the application of prohibited weapons, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on January 10.

“The enemy fired 86 munitions of various types at fourteen localities of the Republic. All the information with photos and videos attached was sent to representatives of international organizations based in the Republic, and submitted to the Prosecutor General’s Office for criminal proceedings against war criminals Shapovalov, Kashchenko, Kokorev, Ivanov, Marchenko, Goncharuk and Zubanich,” Eduard Basurin said.

The Colonel also noted that the information on non-combat losses among Ukrainian militants kept arriving.

“Over the past week, due to the low level of material support, including medical support, three occupiers died in hospitals from pneumonia and another 68 were admitted to medical facilities with similar symptoms.

Six Ukrainian militants received severe injuries and fractures as a result of non-regulation relations and personal negligence. Two occupiers from the 56th and 10th brigades suffered gunshot wounds. A militant from the 10th separate mountain assault brigade committed suicide,” Eduard Basurin said.

In conclusion, the Colonel added that yesterday, using a Terrikon-M2N electronic warfare complex, an enemy UAV was intercepted in the territory of the Republic, when flying around the AFU-controlled territory on the Gorlovka front with a view to identify the presence of equipment at Ukrainian positions.

“The video from the drone is currently being studied by our intelligence,” Eduard Basurin said.
