The non-payment of wages to the miners of the Lvovugol association’s enterprises became the reason for the strike organized to get the debt repaid. On January 23, Director of the municipal preschool education institution Khartsyzsk Young Technical Specialists Station Nikita Drozd commented on such a radical step taken by the miners of the Lvov region.
“The fact that the miners were forced to take such a radical step as blocking the international highway demonstrates the devil-may-care attitude exercised by Zelensky’s authorities towards their people.
One can easily understand the miners – they have not received their hard-earned money for almost four months already. But they need to somehow feed their families. Thus, while Zelensky speaks at international forums about the “investment attractiveness of Ukraine” and the wonderful conditions that Kiev is ready to create for Western businessmen, ordinary Ukrainian workers are living in poverty.
And if the Kiev government condemns miners to hunger strikes in its territory, one can only imagine how they will treat the workers of the Republics. But, fortunately, Zelensky cannot get Donbass back,” Nikita Drozd said.
