The year 2020 has been declared the Year of the Great Victory in the Russian Federation and the Donetsk People’s Republic. In an exclusive interview with a correspondent of the DPR Official Website Head of the City Council Viktoria Zhukova spoke about the work carried out in Khartsyzsk, along with the plans set for the current year.
“On January 22, in Khartsyzsk there took place a concert in honor of the Year of the Great Victory, veterans of the Great Patriotic War were invited to it. Representatives of the Young Guard—Yunarmiya Military and Patriotic Movement, employees of the Education Department of the City Council and students of the local art school attended the event. Great Patriotic War veterans received food packages from the local council. Unfortunately, the number of living veterans declines every year, and it is very important to provide them with maximum support, care and attention,” Viktoria Zhukova said.
She also noted that the city council organizes and carries out various thematic activities with the participation of representatives of public and youth organizations and students of educational institutions of the city.
