Over the past week, the AFU violated the ceasefire 58 times, including with weapons prohibited under the Minsk Agreements, Vice-Commander of the Operational Command Colonel Eduard Basurin reported at the briefing in Donetsk on February 7.
“The enemy fired 68 shells, 180 grenades of various types, fired 80 rounds with IFV guns and also actively engaged small arms at 18 localities of the Republic.
As a result of the shelling carried out by the AFU, nine residential buildings were damaged in Staromikhaylovka and in the villages of the Gagarin and 6/7 mines in Gorlovka,” Eduard Basurin said.
The Colonel also added that Ukrainian armed formations continued to actively impede the work of OSCE SMM observers.
“Last week, we recorded the use of R-934B and Bukovel-AD radio-electronic suppression stations by militants of the 502nd and 305th EW AFU battalions to suppress the control channels of OSCE Mission’s UAVs in Bogdanovka, Stepanovka, Konstantinovka and Pleshcheyevka.
Along with EW means, last week we recorded two attacks on OSCE UAVs with small arms, carried out from the positions of the 3rd battalion of the 92nd brigade in Yuryevka and by militants of the 21st battalion of the 56th brigade in Pesky.
All these violations were also recorded by OSCE SMM observers,” Eduard Basurin concluded.
