Social facilities (hostels, dispensaries and therapeutic facilities) are operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic to protect the human right to life and individual security, as well as to provide assistance to the citizens affected by the armed aggression on Ukraine’s part.
In accordance with the Decree by the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic No.137 of 04.24.2018, the settlement of injured citizens falls within the competence of city and district territorial commissions, supervised by the Republican Commission for Affected Citizens Resettlement Organization, headed by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Currently, in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic there are 967 free settlement places for citizens of this category.
64 social facilities are open in the territory of the Republic. Of these, 53 are functioning, 11 remain in reserve. 2,127 persons, including 388 children, are living in social facilities of the Donetsk People’s Republic, 4,930 persons, including 1,235 children, are living in residential buildings.
As will be recalled, 7,057 persons, including 1,623 children, have been affected by the armed conflict since the outbreak of hostilities in the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
