Starting March 1, Ukraine will be broadcasting a TV channel in the territory of the DPR and the LPR in Russian, Dmitry Chuburkov, a journalist and director of the Union Television Company’s House Show Department, offered his comments about that.
“I do not expect anything of that TV channel. In 2015, Russian war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny so appropriately put it, that “people living at Stratonavtov Street know very well which media is lying and which is telling the truth.”
If Ukraine has extra funds to finance that “wonderful” TV channel, let them finance it. Those people who live in the DPR territory, especially at the line of contact, and defend the Republic, know the truth, and it is impossible to trick them, they will take information from this TV channel with a wry or wistful smile,” Chuburkov said.
He also stressed that the attempt to launch such a broadcast, especially in Russian, is the evidence of powerless anger of the Ukrainian side.
