The residents of the urban-type village of Olenovka are going to recover over three hundred thousand rubles from Ukrainian authorities, Chairperson of the Public Commission for Assessment of Economic Damage Caused by Ukraine Anastasia Butorkina announced, following the results of the meeting.

“Residents of 25 houses on Depovskaya Street in Olenovka contacted us and are going to file lawsuits with the European Court of Human Rights against Ukraine, demanding that the damage caused by hostilities be recompensed. According to experts, the total amount of damage is estimated at 307,400 Russian rubles,” Anastasia Butorkina said.

It is emphasized that the armed aggression of Ukraine resulted in damage to glazing, door units, interior partitions, slate, plastering of outer walls in the applicants’ houses, household buildings burnt down in some cases.

We remind you that in December 2019, a public interest group of DPR and LPR citizens formed this commission for assessing economic damage Ukraine caused. 19 members joined the commission’s composition. Anastasia Butorkina, a member of the DPR Bar Council, was elected its Chair.
