Ukraine keeps glossing over the implementation of the Minsk Agreements, Vice Chair of the DPR Public Chamber Ekaterina Martyanova stated.
“This time, Mr. Zelensky suggested swapping the clauses of the agreements around. What comes to mind is a Soviet cartoon, In the Land of Unlearned Lessons, where the main character has to properly punctuate the phrase “Sentence never pardon”. The meaning of the whole phrase changes, depending on where you place a comma, just like swapping the clauses of the Minsk Agreements reverses their outcome.
It is noteworthy that Zelensky issued an ultimatum in an interview with a British newspaper, but not in an open dialogue with all the parties to the agreements. Kiev is again trying to get support from European partners in the Donbass issue. But Europe is silent, turning a blind eye to the fact that Kiev does not seek to fulfill the agreements reached, but drives a wedge into the peacebuilding process of settling the conflict. In the meantime, Zelensky is steadily falling into the same trap as Poroshenko,” Martyanova emphasized.
