The Ukrainian side is glossing over the obligations under the Minsk accords and the Complex of Measures on withdrawal of forces and weapons in the designated areas, especially on the threshold the Trilateral Contact Group’s meeting in Minsk, the DPR PMD’s press service reports.
“Over the past day, militants from the 128th AFU separate mountain assault brigade commanded by Goncharuk opened fired at Petrovskoye five times by using IFV guns, anti-tank rocket launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms.
Tonight, the 10th AFU separate mechanized brigade shelled neighborhoods of Sahanka with 122mm artillery, which resulted in damage to two residential buildings at 15 and 16 Konstitutsyi St.
Moreover, today at 07:15, the 59th AFU brigade was firing at Golmovskoye with SPGs and antiaircraft systems, which damaged six residential buildings at 6, 8, 10 and 13 Fedoseyeva Street, 5 and 7 Nikitovskoye Highway.
As we reported earlier, a residential building at 24 Shirokaya Street, Krutaya Balka, is damaged by enemy fire from the direction of the 92nd brigade.
Firing at residential areas of the Republic, as well as at the Petrovskoye disengagement area, once again demonstrates clear unwillingness of the enemy to stop fighting in Donbass, but its desire to destabilize the situation by any means. All the actions of the Ukrainian side are aimed at thwarting the talks in Minsk and peace initiatives of the Republic.
These attacks are provocative and aimed at diverting attention from the events on the Donetsk front, where yesterday from the direction of Peski the enemy launched a massive attack with 120mm and 82mm mortars on the territory of the Republic and two AFU trucks were blown up by their own mines.
We call on Western countries to influence the rhetoric of Kiev officials and make switch to real actions from promises and loud statements about allegedly peaceful initiatives,” the statement says.
