Today, on March 11, the Contact Group meeting was held with an expanded membership as Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Presidential Administration Dmitry Kozak and Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office Andrey Yermak took part in it.
Thus, the Contact Group participants for the first time compiled and agreed upon protocol decisions on almost all aspects of work. The agreement on the need to establish a special mechanism to consider issues within a political subgroup became another significant development.
The idea lies in creating a platform for the two parties to the conflict to be able to directly discuss the topics requiring settlement under the Package of Measures.
We welcome today’s decisions as a positive momentum for the direct interaction between the parties to the conflict, we are hopeful that this will encourage the work of the political subgroup and bring about the results necessary in other aspects.
