According to the DPR Representative Office to the JCCC and the negotiation process, Ukraine’s armed formations opened fire from the direction of Kamenka towards Vasilievka with anti-aircraft guns and small arms today, on March 13, at 11:50 a.m.
“The area of the Vasilievka 1st level pumping station of the Yuzhnodonbassky Water Conduit came under fire. Due to the threat to life and health, the personnel had to hide in a shelter.
Alongside this, ambassador and coordinator of the economic subgroup Ulrich Brandenburg was to arrive at the territory of the Donetsk filtering and Vasilievka pumping stations on an official visit today together with monitors of the DPR Representative Office to the JCCC and OSCE SMM patrols. Despite the security guarantees provided earlier by the AFU, they opened fire at the Vasilievka area at a time when a convoy of vehicles was on the way to the pumping station.
DPR representatives to the JCCC were forced to halt the convoy’s movement due to the shelling.
The DPR Representative Office to the JCCC has requested additional security guarantees from the Ukrainian party to the JCCC for a stable ceasefire to be established,” the statement says.
