To date, the especially dangerous infections laboratory is provided with diagnostic test systems for detecting the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, reported the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Republic Center of the DPR Health Ministry’s Sanitary and Epidemiological State Agency.
“Samples are taken by medical workers of healthcare institutions and hospital facilities engaged in the treatment of patients with the new coronavirus. In the shortest possible time, samples taken are delivered to the especially dangerous infections laboratory at the Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Republic Center, then the testing is carried out for free,” Chief of the Department for Especially Dangerous Infections Lilia Skripka emphasized.
According to Lyudmila Akimova, the chief of the laboratory for especially dangerous infections at the Republic Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance, the testing shows within one working day whether the causative agent of the new coronavirus infection got into a patient’s organism.
