On the eve of the Minsk Contact Group negotiations of July 21-22, the enemy intensified not only the attacks on the Republic’s territory, because of which civilians suffer, but also carried out a false flag operation against representatives of the international organization, the DPR People’s Militia Directorate reports.

“According to the available information, commander of the 35th brigade Palas once again attempted to accuse the DPR People’s Militia of violating the ceasefire regime and carried out a false flag operation against the OSCE SMM.

On 20 July, when the Mission’s patrol was monitoring the local ceasefire regime in the area of the phenol plant in Zheleznoye, the schemers detonated an explosive item they laid earlier in the area where the international monitors were staying, having calculated in advance the route of the Mission’s patrol by tracking the monitors with a drone.

However, because they miscalculated the Mission’s movement, the tragedy did not happen.

We once again urge the military and political leadership of Ukraine to immediately put an end to sabotage activities of the war criminals.

We categorically condemn Ukraine’s flagrant violations of international law and consider the carrying-out of false flag operations, which endanger the lives and health of OSCE representatives and civilians, to be unacceptable,” the statement says.
