According to intelligence, today at 10:00 a.m. a group of journalists arrived at the area of Krasnogorovka, accompanied by an officer from the press service of the joint forces operation’s staff. At 12:00, Ukrainian militants opened fire with 120mm mortars at the neutral zone in the immediate vicinity of their positions.

Some of the shells the occupiers fired landed on Ukrainian positions, which might have been planned by the occupiers’ and this is exactly what Ukrainian militants were preparing for when reinforcing their positions before that.

Unfortunately, another civilian fell victim to the Ukrainian provocation. A resident of Krasnogorovka suffered fragmentation wounds when one of the shells landed on a neighborhood of the village and exploded. It is important to note that despite the fact that Ukrainian fire adjusters timely reported to the staff that the shell missed and exploded in a residential area, the firing lasted another 15 minutes.

Reportedly, the enemy fired at least twenty 120mm shells during this provocation.

We call on international observers to immediately document the consequences of Ukrainian units’ self-attacking, which resulted in the wounding of a civilian, before the Ukrainian militants destroy all evidence of the war crime they committed.
