Over the past 24 hours alone, the enemy opened fire 26 times on DPR neighborhoods, having fired 30 shells of 122mm caliber, 25 shells of 120mm caliber and 34 shells of 82mm caliber. Such a number of violations by the AFU was reported in October last year, and last time 122mm tubed artillery was used is December 17, 2019. Heavy artillery has been used twice as often since December. Two civilians suffered injuries of varying severity in February. A house was completely destroyed and 70 damaged, as well as 11 infrastructure facilities.

Against this background, it looks especially cynical that the AFU command justify their war crimes by blaming their losses on alleged firing from our side and by using the statistics of non-combat losses among their personnel. By putting on the media fake information on the dead and wounded, the press service of the so-called joint forces operation’s staff is deliberately escalating the situation, which has been tense enough already, trying to make the defenders of the Republic fire back.

However, I make a note that despite all the provocations from the AFU, the situation at the contact line is under control, and in the event of a real threat, we stand ready to repel the enemy’s armed aggression.
