The statements of the Ukrainian Foreign Affairs Minister contradict the Minsk Agreements and common sense, DPR People’s Council member Alexander Kurenkov said.

“Another provocative statement by Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Prystayko once again demonstrates the reluctance to comply with the Minsk Agreements. Such statements contradict not the Complex of Measures alone, but also common sense. And this is nothing new. What is new is is the Minister’s reasoning that he is ready to involve some “local communities representatives”, who have never been at checkpoints and “have not been besmirched by the war” with Ukraine, in controlling the territory of the DPR and the LPR.

The Kiev regime has no right to choose those who will be ensuring the security of any political processes in the the DPR and the LPR territory after the AFU were used against the civilian population in violation of the Constitution of Ukraine. And attacks on the residents of the People’s Republics of Donbass have not been terminated so far. Therefore, only the authorities elected by the DPR and the LPR residents will be determining who ensures the law and order in our land. And Mr. Prystayko along with Mr. Zelensky, instead of provocative statements, had better get into gear, more specifically cease firing and implement the Minsk Agreements,” Kurenkov commented.
