One of the issues that Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and mayors of cities, towns and districts considered during the extended meeting was the preparation for the spring-summer season of 2020 for the provision of public amenities in populated localities, ensuring their proper sanitary condition, a correspondent of the DPR Official Website reported on March 12.
“Starting March 23, 2020, we will begin implementing an action plan for urban beatification, comprehensive preparation for the spring-summer season of 2020, ensuring a proper sanitary order in cities, towns and districts of the Republic. The administrations of cities, towns and districts are to ensure its implementation in due time jointly with the Ministry of Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector,” Denis Pushilin noted.
According to Minister of Construction Industry, Housing and Public Utilities Sector Sergey Naumets, between March 23 and May 17, the Republic will have a two-month period of urban beautification, as part of which it is planed to carry out two nationwide clean-ups. In cities, towns and districts it is planned to plant more than 18 thousand green spaces, 11 thousand of which are saplings and over 130 thousand flowers. For example, in Donetsk it is planned to plant 3.5 thousand roses. In addition, public utilities are going to engage in road mending, removing unauthorized dumps, bringing in order small-size architectural structures.
Denis Pushilin instructed the mayors of cities, towns and districts to take urgent measures to organize the work of public utilities, to pay attention to the state of greenery and other things. According to the Head of State, they should focus on the proper condition of monuments and beds of honor.
